Mezcla is a collective of women artists and writers of color: Sydney Cooper, Jamie Figueroa, Cristina González, and Edie Tsong. We create public projects, conversations, and platforms for exploring the divergent experiences of our practices as feminists, as mothers and as artists. We explore voice, audience, and the intersection of individual practice with community engagement. Our collective provides the unique service of consulting as a group to preserve the multiplicity and complexity of experience around vital issues of race, ethnicity, inclusion, embodied experience, and creative practice. 
 
We offer a deep knowledge that comes from a commitment to rigorous practice, and an understanding of the necessity of balancing self care, creativity, and belonging. We hold space for participants to play and be both imaginative and vulnerable.
